Coraline toyed with the edges of the thing that she had created. She remembered every single detail of it; she remembered every smudge of paint, every cracked layer and every moment she had spent making it. She remembered the stories she'd created, she remembered the people who lived there almost as if they were as real to her as any of the islanders. She remembered the cursed princess Apple forever dancing, the evil wizard, the crafty pirate banned from the city and the lonely Queen whose heart was won over. She'd created all of it... and she hated it.
Face stark of any emotion, Coraline turned the baseball bat in her hand as she considered the city. Coraline lifted the bat in her hand before she swung it down across the model city. The fragile pieces crumbled beneath her attack and came apart as she swung it back and hit it again and again. Coraline screamed, hitting it as tears streamed down her face. She hated it, she hated it and she hated herself and she hated them.
Coraline dropped the bat, sliding to the ground as she curled up beside her broken model. It was cold but she didn't care. She felt so cold inside, why not outside too? She was so tired, hungry, upset and so angry. Nothing made her feel better, not even that. They lied; they said they would stay with her but they hadn't, they told her it would get better but it wasn't and they said that they loved her but no one did. No one loved her, no one wanted her. She was all alone.
Looking up as something dropped into her lap, she looked at the piece of paper and let out a sob. It read 'No Adam's Allowed'. Ripping the piece of paper into pieces Coraline shrieked angrily before throwing it away from her.
[OOC: Coraline having a bit of a breakdown outside near the Museum/Gallery/Library. Not a great time to meet her. ST/LT okay.]
