For the first time in her life, Juliet is seeing snow - honest to God real snow, not that fake crap that litters the stores of L.A. or the streets of Miami during Christmas. And it’s not just that. It’s the way the entire island looks like Santa Claus exploded. It’s whimsical and interesting, but mostly it’s the snow that has her preoccupied. Well, the snow and the cold. The lack of a coat or more than one long sleeved shirt won’t work for her, so she takes a detour to the clothing box.

Taking a breath before she pulls out a shirt, she tries to think positive thoughts. She has no idea if that works or not, but she figures it’s worth a shot. The first thing she pulls out has long sleeves, so that’s a plus, she supposes. Turning it around, she reads what it says. “Haters gonna hate…?” She tosses it aside and pulls out another shirt, and this one says ‘that’s what she said’. “How about a coat, then?” she asks out loud.

What she pulls out looks like Joseph’s coat of many colors.

“Son of a bitch,” Juliet mutters, and moves aside to let someone else who seems to want access to the clothing box get by. The appeal of winter is starting to fade, if she can’t get something decent to wear. She never thought she’d think so, but she somewhat misses the endless tank tops.
