If Kon had seen him, he'd probably make some comment about brooding like a certain Bat, but that wasn't what Bart was doing. It was more that he was trying to wrap his mind around things, and part of that had led to making a list. He'd thought about doing the pros and cons of the island, but really, the cons were pretty obvious. Not being home, no powers, that kind of thing. The good stuff, though. It would be nice to have a list of those.
So he'd written across the top of a page in large block letters "Reasons Why the Island Doesn't Suck" and started working. The chocobos deserved a mention. As did fighting giant robots while mounted on them. His friends, too. There were things that deserved being mentioned, but putting words to the thoughts he had was harder than he'd first intended.
Finally, he was looking at a page that read:
Reasons Why the Island Doesn't Suck
- Chocobos
- Helping fight a giant robotic death machine riding the chocobos
- My best friend's dad is NOT a psychotic megalomaniac
- Timey-wimey weirdness aside, friends don't change
Tapping his pencil against the table where he sat in the rec room, he considered things. "Wonder if the flying stomach is a pro or a con?" he mused aloud.
