Zelda didn't make a point to see Lucifer every day, but fairly often, so it was a shock to simply not be able to find him. She had checked his rooms, the kitchen, even around the grounds just near the compound and after looking off and on for most of the day she came to the conclusion that he simply had disappeared. It had never happened to someone close to her before and Zelda was a little stunned, if not completely shocked. Alistair had recently lost friends, close friends, but for some reason it always seemed if it was happening to someone else it wasn't quite real.

Now, though, Zelda knew how that felt. She had never had any illusions about loving Lucifer or he loving her; the both of them were far too rational for something like that and she did not know him well enough to trust him with her secrets, not by far. Still, he had been her first lover and had been a friend to her, one of her first since her island exile, and in a way she would always miss him.

Melancholy wasn't an attractive quality but she supposed she'd be forgiven for it and she settled on the stairs to the compound, ocarina at her lips to play the nocturne of shadow. It had been one of the first melodies she'd learned when studying the art of becoming a sheikah, of blending into the shadows, and it was the only thing that felt appropriate here. Melancholy, yes. Quite. Soothing all the same? Certainly.

[Tags open through tomorrow, still not a bad time to meet her but if you don't know her, she may not tell you what's wrong.]
