Okay, Rachel is getting seriously good at stumbling upon people in some form of song and dance.

Then she pays a little more attention to the lyrics.

"That's one magical song, kid," she says, leaning against the doorway.

"It's about a friend of mine," says Cooper, arching his neck to look at her, grinning with genuine fondness. "Hey, Rach. How's it going?"

"Fabulous," she says. It's true. She had awesome morning sex, went for a swim and now she's picking out new lingerie. "Want to help me with a project? It involves underwear."

In many, many ways, Cooper Harris is a predictable soul. He's already pushing out his chair, comic books forgotten. He's barely even limping anymore.

"Absolutely."

"Thought so," she chirps, leading the way a little slowly in case his leg like, splits open again.

"I want lingerie. There's a guy, and it's his birthday soon so I thought it'd be a nice gesture."

He's still got a very slight limp, but he's walking much better than he was previously. He looks Rachel up and down from behind; he's pretty sure nobody in the world would blame him.

"Lucky fucker," he says, grinning easily. "Are you going to model it for me?"

"We'll see about that," she snorts, eyebrow raised. "I'm thinking...white. Almost virginal. Lacy. So virginal but also slutty."

"Slutty is good," says Cooper, nodding and still following. There's still this nagging suspicion that things with Rachel have moved beyond him wanting to see her naked.

But still...

"Slutty's very good."

"Yeah, that much I figure. But he gets slutty all the time," she explains, figuring the benefits of underwear will outweigh making Cooper stomp around on that leg. "I want slutty and pretty."

"Oh, shit, yeah. Because of the stripper thing, right?" Cooper nods, taking this on board; not a hint of judgement, just a fact that he'd somehow overlooked.

"I bet you can find something like that."

"Something like that," she snorts. "You know, he doesn't actually watch me strip. Once, but that was kind of it. But I'm sure it would not shock you to learn I'm slutty at home, too."

They round the corner to the laundry area as Rachel concentrates on her sexy mojo. It totally helps. "What about you? Sluttywise?"

"Yeah, well, I don't watch you strip either - what's that supposed to prove?" He smirks at her, shoving his hair back form his face with both hands.

"What do you mean 'what about me'? Am I being slutty?"

"No, like, were you slutty? Back home," she explains, dropping down in front of the box. "I totally was. Trying to be better about it...sort of."

"Oh, yeah, I was slutty," says Cooper, grinning, entirely proud of himself. "Every chance I got. Haven't had much of a chance here, though. Chicks don't dig limps."

"Okay seriously, you're not playing this right," Rachel instructs, tossing a few leather items to the side. "You're a wounded hero, okay? That's what you emphasize. Rescuing women and babies."

Perching on top of one of the washers, Cooper watches her with his head tilted on one side, both eyebrows slightly raised.

"I didn't actually do a lot of rescuing, Rach."
