Eli ran.

He shouldn't have been able to run full out. He shouldn't have been able walk. Not after spending the last eternity carrying Chloe through parts of the ship that barely had enough air to breathe. His limbs did ache, and his chest burned like fire, but he ran, fueled by adrenaline and spurred on by two thoughts: what was behind him and what was ahead of him.

Behind him: Chloe. The beautiful, amazing, wonderful Chloe Armstrong, daughter of a United States Senator. The best friend he'd ever had. The woman he loved, as futile as that was.

Ahead of him: Scott and Greer. Two shipmates - friends, even, sort of - trapped outside the ship, with the clock counting down to their deaths. He had to get to an airlock to let them in, or they'd be toast.

The irony of saving Chloe's boyfriend wasn't lost on him. He'd have laughed at himself for even thinking about it - what was he going to do, not save him? - but he didn't have the breath.

He ran. No time for hesitation. No time to open the doors with caution, to make sure he wasn't sucked out into the void through a breach in the hull. He just slammed his hand against the next panel and threw himself through the opening the moment it was wide enough.

No sucking void this time - but his foot came down on wood, not metal.

He didn't stop even then; it took another second, another few strides, before the change in his surroundings hit him. He skidded to a stop, looking wildly around. There was no corridor anymore. No walls or bulkheads or whatever. Just a boardwalk in the middle of a jungle. Looking behind him, there was just more of the same. Oh, and no door. He took a few steps back and waved a hand through the air, but -- nope, no door.

"Okay... don't panic."

Looking down at himself, he saw with some relief that he still was himself; he hadn't been body-jacked by someone using the stones. That was good. On the other hand, that would have been an explanation for why he wasn't on Destiny.

"I've been beamed somewhere," he reasoned aloud. "Except... I didn't think we were anywhere near a planet. And the Destiny doesn't have beaming technology, or if it does we haven't found it yet, so... Aliens?"

He looked around for the aliens who'd brought him there, if they existed. Barring that, a glimpse of someone else from the ship would be good.

"Maybe it's a holodeck," he added hopefully. Destiny was a giant alien spaceship; it could totally have a holodeck. At least a holodeck would mean he was still on the ship. He just needed to figure out how to get out.

[[Say hi to Eli Wallace! Find him anywhere on the boardwalk, wearing a shirt that says "You are here." Traditional debut, though if you'd prefer to find him after he's gotten the basics, let me know. ST/LT more than welcome!]]
