Ophelia is waiting.

This is not new to her. Most her life has been spent waiting. Waiting for the call to come back into the house. Waiting for her father to send for her, for her brother to come home. For her broken heart to mend and for the world to stop feeling mad.

Standing at the doorway of the Compound she has the door propped open with massive volumes of Shakespeare's Complete Works. They are large enough to do the job and she cares little what happens to them. The rain is still coming down and has driven her temporarily from her home. The sea is lovely in a storm but she knows better than to stay near it when it starts to swell past its borders.

Stepping forward she leaves the safety of the doorway to look up at the sky. A step and a half later and she has her. answer. The rain splatters against the fabric of her dress slicking the hairs that have escaped her plait against her neck. Letting out an involuntary squeak she scurries back inside.

Leaning against the doorframe once more she sighs before turning around once more to look outside. Ophelia waits for the rain to slow and allow her release to flee to the sanctuary of the barn away from these walls and the crush of people.

"Tis agony." She does not care who hears her as they pass. Even without context it still rings true. Shifting her shoulder, she rests her back against the door to let people come in and out. In must end, she just asks that it be sooner rather than later.

[ooc: open to any and all (no seriously it has been montths since she has had an EP and new people are a delight). Severe slowtime in effect but late tags also welcome.]
