"And Carter comes up the left field," Coraline shouted kicking the ball out ahead of her before chasing it. Whooping as she ran Coraline made erratic gestures as she took on the imaginary England football squad. "She takes out Beckham with her ninja skills. She kicks Owen in the shins and he goes down like a big girly girl. She vulcan grips Crouch. She's coming up on the goal, can no one stop her?"
Coraline ran over the small sand hill, chasing the ball and going to kick it into her makeshift goal before letting out a very girly scream. Standing near her ball was a crab. A really, really big crab. Coraline wasn't even sure it was a crab. It was more like the kind of monster the Other Mother would create. She'd make something small and cute and turn it into something monsterous and big and scary.
Except Coraline was definitely not scared of a crab. Nope. Coraline was a brave explorer-spy-superhero and defnitely a match for a stupid crab.
"I'm not scared of you," Coraline informed the crab folding her arms defiantly taking a step forward and reaching down to grab the ball from its crabby grasp. The crab scuttled sideways, clicking its large pincer things at Coraline and Coraline stumbled backwards trying to get out of its way. Scrambling up onto her feet Coraline backed away from the monsterous creature. "Oh yeah Coraline, you're not scared at all."
Watching the crab cautiously, Coraline bounced on her toes as she tried to figure out how she was going to get her ball back without the crab eating her or attacking her with its big freakish claws.
"Come on Coraline, it's just a crab, you've dealt with worse. You've dealt with monsters and ghosts and her, a crab is nothing." Coraline said tiptoeing forward before yelping as it came closer. Looking around for a weapon, Coraline grabbed a stick and brandished at the monster crab. "GIVE ME BACK MY BALL CRAB!"
