Crabs, it turned out, held worse grudges than any living creature Jason Stackhouse had even known, and that included women.

And they knew somehow that he'd had a few meetings of Crab Fight Club a while back, and now they were pissed. It was the only reason he could think of that they'd gone and found the biggest fucking relative they had and sent it to sit on a tree by his fishing boat and look all menacing. Jason wasn't sure whether he should throw a rock at it or run away or find Kara and ask her to shoot the thing.

He paced back and forth far enough away that he knew he'd be able to make his escape if it got off the tree. At least, he could as long as it didn't turn out to have fucking super-speed or the ability to fly. "Fuuuuuck," he moaned, and dropped into a crouch, rubbing his temples. "What the fuck do I do with this?"

The crab monster didn't move, and he waved his arms threateningly. "BOOGA BOOGA! GET OUTTA HERE!"

What now? Pray? Use one of those island panic buttons?

Jason was concentrating so hard on making his brain work that he didn't even notice anyone coming up behind him.
