Throwing a party was a lot more work than Logan had anticipated, and he found himself grateful for a change that Jack had so many friends. Some time later, he'd heard the sounds of enthuastic celebration and for a brief optimistic moment wondered if it were for him - when he actually came round and saw it, he realised it was somebody else's anniversary instead. And what was more, it was something to do with that guy he'd once nearly got into a fight with because he'd started going on about sleeping with men, and also the guy who'd broken it up. Turning his head, Logan whistled and Linus instantly rushed over. He yipped happily, standing on his back paws for a moment as he bomced around, and then sat down. He was wagging his tail so hard that his whole body seemed to move with it, and his tongue hung out slightly as he panted.
Picking up a bit of finger food, Logan tossed it in the air, smiling as Linus caught it and begged for a little more.
Logan gave him another piece, but hushed him after that. Who knew how much the dog had eaten already.
