(no subject)

To Nessa, this was not a happy time. Her son had gone back to live the last few years of his life, some of her dearest friends on the island had vanished to an unknown world, and she was still here, keeping calm, carrying on…

She found herself melancholic even to the lack of spring on the island. It was always sunny, always bright... but. Where was the rain, where were the last dreary days of winter, where were the small indications that life's cycle was beginning once again, the flowers, the leafs, where were the first sounds of morning birds back from the south, the smell of those first warmer days, the beauty of the red sun against the hill's green?

There was no use in dwelling, so after summoning up some courage she had decided to put her thoughts into actions. Dick had left the island, leaving the museum and the library in her care. At the moment, it did not pose a task too strenuous, but the small gathering of culture had far more potential. There was Anthony, of course, and Kim, but she really did want to gather more people. If only to be joined by more overtly joyous minds than the two former and ever-cynic spies. It would be a shame and a grand set-back to community achievements to let it go to waste.

She had therefore composed an announcement for the notice board.

To everyone involved in and to all those interested in the Cultural Center.

She stood there waiting for people to come around and hoping they would. She wasn't nervous, but it felt quite like the first day of an exhibition.

((OOC: See slated post. Treat as a gathering. Forget your troubles, come on, get creative!))
