It's been a difficult week. She's brought one child into the world and lost another, and today's the first day that she's felt good being out of the hut. She doesn't go far, just to the swing seat in the Hamlet, with the loose fabric of her skirt blowing around her ankles and her baby, her new baby, cradled against her shoulder.

Here he is, Hamlet. Dylan.

Emmy goes racing ahead of her across the grass and Lily follows at her own pace, dropping kisses against the top of Dylan's head as she walks barefoot across the warm grass.

The seat is waiting for them and she sinks into it, still very aware of the aches and pains in her body left by nearly eighteen hours of labour. She's not a young woman anymore, but she looks at him, and she feels like it's almost like starting over again. She rocks the seat with one foot, back and forth and Dylan yawns massively and roots against the front of her blouse.t

Her baby. Her boy.
Absolutely worth waiting for.

ooc: welcoming the newest resident of the Hidden Hamlet. Friends of Lily and Eddie can assume that his is not the first time they've seen Mom and baby.
