"Shut up already!" Logan snapped, his voice loud enough that Linus actually did stop barking at long last. The golden dog sat sown and whimpered softly, as if trying to apologize. He'd been barking ever since Logan had started his target practice, as if the animal could sense his anger and simply knew he shouldn't be playing with firearms. In his way, Linus had been trying to protect Logan from himself- Logan simply wasn't the kind of person to be saved.
Ignoring the dogs whimpers, he positioned the rifle Jack had given him, and aimed at the tree again, firing a shot and bracing himself for the kickback. This one hit spot on, and he aimed again a moment later. He was getting better, not that it mattered. Nothing ever happened here, and if it did, chances were he wouldn't get to see the action. He wasn't on the IPD or ITF, he was no one. Just Logan Echolls, resident asshole and husband of Jack Harkness. A man who probably would get to fight if anything ever happened.
Frustrated and wound up for no real reason, he threw the unloaded gun to the ground and glared at nothing in particular as he slumped back against a nearby tree. Days like this, he couldn't explain his emotions. He only knew he was wound up tight and looking for a fight. As if he needed the violence to clear his head. It was wrong and he knew it, but it was part of who he was, and after all these years, he'd come to except it.
(Open to all, but I should warn you that he's in an unpredictable mood. He might start a fight, so before you tag, just drop me a quick
email to let me know if you're okay with a few punches being thrown. There is also a chance he'll just be rude or ignore your pup, so be prepared for that also.)
