It might not be practical, but she has chosen to do it anyways.

The lights had struck a chord with Ophelia. They were pretty and reminded her of things that the Julenisse would like and the sorts of things that fairies would keep to light their way. They were magic and she didn't need a lecture on modern creations to tell her otherwise. One might try but she knew that they were something special.

The night of Saint Lucia might not be until Saturday night, with the need for candles becoming ever present to keep the Devil at bay but it does not hurt to be a bit prepared before hand.

Taking great care to both find a tree that was climbable and one that was fitting the season, she has found the perfect one. A great, spreading holly tree it is the perfect one. The berries are bright, the leaves are green and while she is up there she can gather the branches she needs to make a proper crown.

Reaching up she grabs hold of the lowest branch, her shoes slipping against the slick bark as she pulls herself up. Perched precariously between trunk and branch, she looks both up and down to see if which way she should start.

At the top seems to be the best. The ground can be her reward for her success. Reaching to grab the next branch, she lets out a tiny shriek of surprise when it breaks off in her hand and falls to the ground. Nearly losing her balance, she wraps her arms around the trunk for support as her heart races in her chest.

"Gudskelov," she breathes and closes her eyes. That could have been very unfortunate as far as mistakes go and another fall is the last thing she needs.

[ooc: find her in a holly tree wherever you like. open to any & all. st/lt welcome and beware falling branches.]
