It had been over twenty-four hours since
Logan's accident, and he was still struggling to remember things. Yes, there were moments where the fog seemed to clear, and sure there were names and faces that were slowly coming back to him- but it seemed like some of the most important people and events from his life were simply gone. ...Erased, as if

"When I was at your wedding not that long ago, you talked to me a little about you and Jack," he starts, glancing down at the ground as he works out his next words. "You said that you and Jack... you fight, but you've always fought. That's just how you work together. You and Jack both said that it's balanced, that you get in your punches too."
He holds up his hands, uncomfortable with talking Logan back into something that might be, actually, abusive. "I don't really know the two of you all that well. You're not alone in thinking that all that... it sounds weird. But," he starts, holding a hand up, "I will say that the two of you, when you're together, you're totally devoted. That wedding was one of the more touching ones I've ever been to. Jack is completely devoted to you, Logan, completely."
He bites at his lip, rubbing his hand against his knee. "Hold off on deciding Jack isn't trustworthy until you get your memories back. Give him a chance, but if you're uncomfortable around him, then you don't have to live with him until you sort things out. No one's going to make you -- at least, they shouldn't. You're welcome to stay at my hut, if you want," he offers, though he and Logan aren't that close. Scotty's hut is closer to his and Jack's though, and if Logan stayed in his hut, then at least he'd be near Jack.

"I dunno... I was gonna wait for House and see if I could stay with him. ...He looked after me the other day, he said we're friends."
Except something was nagging at Logan, and everytime he mentioned House, he felt less and less sure about the other man, something inside him telling him that his first instinct about the older man might not have been right.

And he's the asshole that decided to sell Alcuin to buy someone's cane, but that's Alcuin's information to reveal, and he doesn't share that secret. His distaste is obvious on his face, though. "If there's anyone in this situation I'm sure you shouldn't trust one hundred percent, it's House."

"I know, I know- I just... I just hate feeling like I'm hurting people, and I know I am. I know people want me to remember, and I can't. I keep trying and I can't.

It was strange- it was new.
"Thanks," he said quietly.

"Mm... Not bad," he decides, licking over his lips; he casts a side glance at Logan. "Do you like them? If not we can go in there and I can make every thing that you think you might like until we find your favorite food." He gives him a friendly grin.

Leaning forward, he picked at a loose thread hanging from a hole in his jeans, and cleared his throat. "You're nicer than you have to be," he said quietly. "I get the feeling I'm not a nice guy. Not to most people anyway."

"Well, we haven't actually talked a lot, but at your wedding, we had a really nice conversation. I don't think I know you enough to judge whether or not you're a nice guy." Scotty's guilt is playing heavily into this, too.
