Spotted: B, head of her court at a party in her honor, hosted by Little J with S notably in the background. A year older and without much to show for it, will our Queen B be appeased by this royal display or will it be off with her head? And when did J climb this far up the chain of succession?

While Jenny had helped out with plenty of parties in the year and a month she'd been on the island, she had never before now taken the lead in terms of planning, and doing so now, she had a good idea of why. It wasn't like it was too overly difficult or anything, but that didn't mean it was simple, either, especially not when the party in question was for Blair Waldorf's birthday. No matter how different things were here than they had been back in New York, Jenny still had that same innate desire to impress her. Still, it wouldn't have been right not to step up and take this on, not when Serena had so much else to deal with. She'd still been plenty of help, anyway, which was really good, since she knew Blair far better than Jenny could ever hope to.

The theme they'd decided on was French court, and had spent the better part of the afternoon setting up for it, so that by sunset, the space in front of Blair and Serena's hut was perfect, illuminated by candlelight and decorated all in white and pale blue, colors that Serena had assured Jenny were just what they needed to pull this off. On the tables were fresh fruit and flowers and, of course, alcohol, as well as a cake that looked better than anything Jenny thought would've been possible to make on the island. It still wasn't quite what they would've been able to do if they were back home, but she, at least, thought it had come together about as well as it could have, which was definitely a good thing. There was a lot riding on this party, at least for her.

[(Rather impromptu) Party for Blair's 19th birthday! Open to friends of B's and the UESers and timed to this evening, ST and LT both welcome.]
