The sparkling [ocean], the bracing air...

Aeneas had been pacing around the hut anxiously which could only mean one of two things. Either the puppy needed to go to the bathroom or he wanted to go for a walk. Whichever it was, someone had to take him out and this time, it was Anatoly's turn. Not that it was a horrible hardship - on the contrary, he'd been contemplating taking a break from the chess board and this was reason enough.

After pressing a kiss to Lex's forehead and promising they both would be back soon, he and Aeneas headed outside to see what they could see. It turned out that Aeneas wanted to run about and explore, barking happily as he did so. Highly amused, Anatoly followed after him, keeping a watchful eye on him in case he should get too far ahead.

Eventually, both man and dog wandered down to the shoreline. After some hesitant steps and a fearful bark or two, Aeneas ventured out into the water. A few moments later, he was happily cavorting, leaving paw prints in the wet sand and doing his best to turn himself into the Abominable Sand Aeneas.

The day was nice enough that Anatoly took off his socks and shoes, rolled up his pants and joined his puppy. After a bout of playful wrestling, they were both drenched and covered in sand but he couldn't help but laugh. What a good idea this had turned out to be!

OOC: Come one, come all, and marvel at the grandmaster doing something that doesn't involve chess. All manner of tags and times are welcome!
