It wasn't that Robin loved any one dog more than the others, she was telling herself as she hooked up Sir Scratchawan's leash and told the others to stay put. It was more like 'she loved her miracle puppy more than the others right now because he technically came back from the dead and was making her question her stance on miracles'. Yeah. That was ( Read more... )

"Awww, he's a cutie," Meredith said, heading over toward Robin. "I don't think I've seen that one before. New dog?" She had no idea where anyone got dogs in this place, but it didn't really faze her. She had the impression that Robin and dogs were just something that went together; if anyone would know where to find more, it made sense it would be Robin.

Robin coaxed Scratchy closer to her and lifted him up in her arms, grateful that they had gotten through the house training pretty fast with enough shaker cans and harsh words and whistles. "He's old and new both," Robin praised, pressing an affectionate kiss to his ear. "This is Sir Scratchawan and he brings me to five which, is kinda as many as I had back in New York. So I think it works."

Ray couldn't help a cheerful laugh when he saw Robin playing with a dog, which was a familiar sight for him by now. The dog itself, however, was unfamiliar. "When did you get this little guy?" he asked jovially, plopping himself on the ground next to them.

Robin scratched behind the dog's ear, grinning at Ray as she hefted up the puppy and placed him in her lap. "Ray, meet Sir Scratchawan. Scratchy was my childhood puppy until...well, let's just say there was an incident involving turtles and I don't want to go into detail."

"Hey, Sir Scratchawan!" Ray said obligingly, grinning at the puppy. He didn't know what exactly turtles would have to do with an incident involving a dog, but Robin had said she didn't want to get into it so he didn't question it further. "One of those unexpected things from home, huh? Did he just show up?"

"He kinda turned up in the pocket of one of Barney's suits," Robin admitted, her laugh sounding both surprised and affectionate at once as she scratched behind the ears. "Barney's fairly trained in knowing that I'm the go-to person on all things canine, so he brought him to me and I recognized his little tag," she praised, jangling that collar. "He was a lot bigger last I saw him though. This is just puppy-him, right now."
