It was definitely a strange sort of day. The island becoming foggy and dark for the day was odd, but quite exciting. There were a lot more graveyards, werewolves and zombies around than normal. But what, or rather who, should normally be here and wasn't was Fiyero. And Kalm and Elphaba.
Jo remembered once saying to Serena that hoping someone would stay here would work, if you just hoped hard enough. Then after she broke up with Fiyero, he'd disappeared. Okay, so it wasn't instantly after and that didn't explain all three of them, but it was hard not to make the connection. And hard not to be upset either.
After going back to her room she did feel a little bit better - if only because it was hard to keep crying for too long. Then she'd got sucked into dancing in the rec room. It had been an odd dance and it had been against her will, but it was hard to be sad while you were dancing.
It was a little while yet until the evening's party, which she was looking forward to, even if there would be one less person there that she wanted to dance with. Not really knowing what to do with herself she'd gone back outside and come across something truly unexpected.
She hadn't recognised the film showing on the big projector, but that didn't stop her from being excited at the idea of watching a film outside. And in a car. The cars looked a little old, but there was a very nice convertible one nearest to her. Since people in films always leapt over the seats to get into convertibles she did too.
As she sat down, she laughed at herself for having done that, and then discovered that the wheel was on the left. It didn't matter, though, she wasn't planning on going anywhere, so she just curled up on the passenger seat and watched the film.
