Putting breakfast out on the table, Delirium made sure everything was ready before she went and picked up Daniel. Smoothing down the miniature suit that he was wearing and brushed his soft hair back from his face. Daniel reached for her hair grabbing and yanking it, in a way that made her yelp from the sudden pain. Celia of course thought this was hilarious and laughed at her brother causing their mother pain or just laughed because she liked the noise. It was hard to tell with children. Delirium was still convinced they were trying to take over the Island.
"Your worse than Desire, at least Desire only tries to kill you if you really, really, really annoy her-him. Desire doesn't pull hair, Endless don't pull hair we're above tha-ow!" Del said making another half yelp-squeak that made Celia giggle. Removing her hair from Daniel's evil clutches, Del sat down with them both at the table making sure to keep the freshly made solids (Crumpets) out of their grabby hands. "This is a crum-ow-pet. It's made from food things, we put food things in our stomachs at breakfast and lunch and dinner because it is human tradition and we need to eat things that aren't green mice. Or so your daddy says but your daddy is a big stick-in-the-butt sometimes so we can ignore him and do the funfunfun things. Like with Stephen."
Delirium looked around and grinned at them both, giggling and tickling their stomachs as she made Celia laugh and Daniel look less serious. Del was sure he smiled but that could have just been gas.
"Soon we'll have Stephen to play with and he'll be ours and it'll be peachy keen. This is what we call collecting mortals, you two can try it when your older if you're not too busy taking over the world." Delirium said eating a mouthful of crumpet and wetting her finger on the warm tea before allowing Daniel to suck on her finger. "That's tea. It's what keeps the British moving. I'd give you coffee but Asher will yell at me again and then I'll feel sad and want to lie down. Besides big Abby would be very sad without coffee. Sad and very scary."
Considering the idea of Abby without coffee, Del made a face and picked up Celia before she went over to make fresh coffee whilst Daniel gummed at a soft human toy that his mother had made for him. He was doing so well trying to gum their necks and various body parts. It made her very proud.
