Despite the most recent blow to his mental health, Geoffrey feels ready for this. He feels more than ready for this, in fact. It's been too long since the last one, and he's itching to direct again. And so before anything can happen to put it off again, he writes up a notice and tacks it up on the bulletin board.

Summer Roberts would never have considered herself an actress. Even now that she taught a majority of the island's dance classes, acting was not something that Summer fashioned herself doing. It was only the memories of how Anything Goes had saved her when she'd first arrived on the island that caused Summer to look at the bulletin board and investigate at the word audition. She read the notice with her head tilted to the side, as though she expected the magic word DANCER to pop out at her.

Geoffrey senses the presence, and once he's finished making sure the notice is straight he turns to look at her. "Is it the audition that's caught your attention, or--" He glances at whatever's pinned up beside it. "--are you in the market for a dog walker? Wow, we have dog walkers?"

Summer laughed, wavy brown hair falling in her face as her head shook, "no dog, just a bunny, but I walk her myself. Pancakes, that's her name." These words spilled out in one breath, a form of babble that is reserved for teenage girls of the early 21st century. She took a breath then smiled brightly, starting over.

"Did you put it up?"

"I did," says Geoffrey, straightening it one last time. Not that it won't be skewed the next time someone so much as walks by. "My fourth production since arriving on the island. Do you act, by any chance?"

Summer looked thoughtful, looking upward to meet his eyes before answering. "I was in Anything Goes. And I was awesome!" Her eyes twinkled with delight at the memory. "I took classes with Joey last year." She wasn't sure if the latter qualified as acting experience though, mostly she'd looked at Joey starry eyed. "I dance."

"Oh do you, now?" says Geoffrey, though now that she mentions it he was at the Anything Goes performance. Out of solidarity if nothing else. "Do you also choreograph?"

He chooses to avoid the topic of Joey's acting classes.

The question caught her off guard, though in retrospect she should have expected it. "I teach dance classes." Summer said in way of an explanation, "River did the choreography for Anything Goes. Do you...need someone to choreograph? Shakespeare?"

"There is an occasional need," he admits. "In this one, for instance, there are fairies. At any rate, I'll certainly need people who can dance in wings in order to pull this one off."

The look in Summer's eyes betrayed her childhood desire to actually be a fairy princess. "I could totally dance in wings!"

She sounded far younger than her nineteen years in that moment. It was decided then, yes, she could audition for this show and not make a fool of herself. Despite not touching Shakespeare outside of high school...and even then she was barely among the students who would volunteer to read.

"Well, then can I expect to see you at the stage next week?" he says, smiling at her enthusiasm. He's going to need a lot of new faces if he wants this production to work.

"Totally." Summer said decisively and confidently. She stuck our her hand for him to shake, "Summer Roberts."

"Geoffrey Tennant," he says, because the notice doesn't and the Council gig doesn't actually give him immediate name recognition. "I'm looking forward to it."
