Immediately after running from an unexpected kiss with Charlie Bartlett, Edmund encounters Lyra in the jungle. Annoyed with himself, Edmund takes it out a bit on Lyra, who's more than happy to follow along and offer him some sound advice.

Days later, still uncertain as to what to do, Edmund seeks the advice of his good friend Caspian. It's a little awkward, as Caspian is nearly family, but not nearly as awkward as it would be with Peter or Susan. There's even some discussion of sex (by which we mean very little but there) and Edmund is left feeling more confident but also more confused.
