clinic post
Today promised to be a calm day in the clinic. There wasn't much on Jennifer's agenda in terms of appointments, other than Sansa Stark penciled in later in the afternoon to bring Eddara in for a well-child checkup. Of course, that didn't mean there wouldn't be walk-ins to take care of--the usual burns, cuts, and dinosaur bites--but most Sundays were relatively stress-free.
Since Sundays in the clinic were usually pretty slow, Jennifer had taken up a new hobby for her downtime. A couple weeks ago, she had found a "teach yourself to knit" kit...book...thing on the bookshelf. She had figured that anyone who could do brain surgery would be able to knit with no problem, and it would be a good thing to do in those long stretches of nothing to do in the clinic, something she could put down quickly and get back to work, but she was learning really fast that it wasn't as easy as it looked. Her initial attempt was so hideous it had ended in the trash, and the second--meant to be a plain blue scarf--wasn't looking much better. It was more of a big blue blob of knotted yarn than anything else.
"Yeah, okay, that's not going to work," she muttered to herself, looking from the directions to the blobby yarn thing. Oh well. She really should hide this before anyone came in--this mess wasn't likely to inspire confidence in anyone needing her to patch them up.
