Doing something as simple as training to pass the time and keep oneself is never without its perils -- and when Cable's the one doing the training, then it's a guarantee you're going to leave with a few bruises. If you're lucky.
After having taken a shower and debated grabbing a snack, Terry's laid out across half a couch in the rec room, her legs propped up on the back of the seat as she examines a fresh bruise on her shin. It's nothing serious and she's definitely had worse, but there's something about seeing the dark mark across her pale skin that she likes. She's looking at evidence that she's doing something worthwhile, even if only for herself.
The jukebox comes to life when she flexes a leg in the air, and Terry rolls her head to look at it, waiting for whatever form of torture it wants to bestow upon her today.
Surprisingly enough, it's something she actually likes.
At first the opening strains sound like something Dazzler would make -- which always reminds Terry of that fateful day with Kitty and Wolverine, from convincing Kitty to let her go along on Dazzler protective detail to singing on her tour bus to being asked to be a back up singer for Dazzler at the bloody Mega Bowl.
Of course, it'd all ended with Kitty giving her the wrong signal, half a blinded audience and Dazzler having a pie thrown in her face, but it's the experience that counts.
Blondie's just as well, anyway, and as Heart of Glass kicks off into the second verse, Terry's already singing along, leg still in the air as she taps her foot against nothing in time with the music.
