There were probably worse ways to spend a weekend.
Okay, strike that. There were definitely worse ways to spend a weekend. Sure the bus ride, the two plane rides and the taxis had kind of sucked and spending some quality bargaining with Judge Reinhold had been no picnic either, but this wasn't bad. It wasn't something that Zoe was going to scrapbook about or write home to her parents, but at least it wasn't spending the weekend with her grandmother and her eight cats in Boca.
That was a crappy way to spend a weekend.
No, this was running away from weird guards dressed like cops from THX1189 kind of bad. Which was actually kind of good once she managed to get past the fact that these were grown men who did this for a living. And the spandex was none too flattering. It gave pretty much everything away and Zoe didn't need to see any of that.
On a scale from one to awesome, with one being frozen on Hoth with not even a tauntaun to cut open and crawl inside to keep from freezing to death and awesome being well, awesome, this definitely was nearly the awesome level. She had touched R2D2, saying those immortal words and let's be truthful, if she was anyone she was more of a Princess Leia than a Mon Mothma. She'd take blaster wars and speeder chases over diplomacy any day.
Reaching a dead end, breathing heavily she looked at the rest of the guys before looking at the only means of escape. A garbage shoot. Of course. Watching Hutch toss Windows down before her, there was no way she was letting him touch her. Holding her breath she dove head first into the dark tunnel. God, she hoped that he wasn't a fan of throwing away raw meat.
Squeezing her eyes shut, she held her arms out in front of her, fully prepared to tuck and roll if need be.
Then she hit water. Head first. Gasping despite being under water, she opened her eyes as she frantically moved to get her head above water. Seriously, she loved George Lucas and all, but there was no way she was going to die for him. Breaking the surface of the water, she panted looking around her as she tread water.
"What the hell?" Skywalker Ranch apparently had a big secret that not even Shatner knew about. "I didn't sign on for this."
