The problem, Cable thought, with living on an island where the only real danger was the local wildlife was that animals tend to attack entirely based on their own private whims and so don't follow any particular pattern. It was an inconvenient trait, in that not only did it make security a lot harder, it also meant that no matter how long Cable hung around the beaches there was rarely a handy squid to take his aggression out on. And sometimes, in life, there came a time when you just needed to punch a squid.

So deprived of any cephalopods to beat up, Cable was out in the jungle, building traps. He had been there for some time and he was surrounded by rocks, sticks and ropes of varying types that belonged to traps that he'd methodically set, tested and then dismantled.

His latest attempt was hidden in the low lying branches of a nearby tree. He looked at it carefully before taking a slow step forward onto the hidden trigger. He then counted mentally for two seconds before he jumped his full length forward and landed into a forward roll which just managed to take him out of the way before a sack of boulders spilled out over his previous position.

After a second's pause to make sure the avalanche was over, he lifted himself back onto his feet, rubbed his back where a stray boulder had hit it and turned back around to view the damage. It was that point that he realized he was no longer alone.

"Hello," he greeted the new arrival calmly. "Don't worry about interrupting me, I'm only using the one trap this time."

(OOC: Great time to meet him. Especially if your pups willing to spar with him. LT/ST welcome.)
