Today was an okay day, not super, not terrific, but not horrible. The lingering nausea, which seemed like it was now in full swing seemed to last all day, was eased with ginger tea on hand and fierce concentration on anything else but herself. As usual, she'd gotten up early to take her morning shift and would remain until Doctor Chase came in for the evening shift.
Technically, she wasn't on the afternoon shift, which had no one working it, but it didn't really matter. She'd have stayed anyway, much like the fact that she usually went in earlier on Fridays to the Southern Clinic. It spoke to her need to keep busy despite whatever was going on in her personal life. So, ginger tea it was.
Ginger tea, which was apparently tempered with peaches that didn't make her as nauseous as she thought. Small sips helped along with lots of water and a more sedate pace when it came to moving. And, at some point soon, she was going to have to give in and assign herself a doctor for the duration of her pregnancy. Lam frowned into her tea and leaned back in her chair.
((Wednesday morning clinic post from Dr. Carolyn Lam. Slow time, etc., welcome, of course. She'll be around until Dr. Chase shows.))
