Even if Jack hadn't won, the elected council people were still more than suited for their positions. And, most importantly, a party was a party. Ianto kept the Hub open, expecting an eventual deluge of people as the evening drew on and the party spilled outwards. He kept himself to a seltzer and juice mixture, not feeling a particular need to get trashed tonight. No, tonight was a celebration, but more of a social one with natural high spirits.

Geoffrey's looking deliberately for Ianto when he slips into the Hub, sitting down nearby when he finds him. Not because he needs him for anything, just because he feels they ought to be spending a little more time together.

"Just looking for a bit of a breather," he says, putting his feet up. "I don't suppose you've got anything ice cold back there, do you?"

"I've got an ice machine and a mini fridge built into this thing," Ianto replied as he moved over to Geoffrey, wiping down the counter as he walked. "Anything you want, I can take care of."

"Excellent," says Geoffrey, rubbing his hands together. "I'm not picky, I just want something refreshing. It's warm out there, and all the bodies just make it warmer."

He'd made a mix of juices earlier, just something a little more exciting than the run of the mill, and blended it with ice. Not quite a smoothie, but definitely refreshing. "We rarely fail to come out in drove for a party in droves, do we?"

"Parties are practically a profession around here," says Geoffrey. Not that they weren't, in some ways, just the same back home. "If you just showed up at every party and looked sharp, people would probably think you actually did something around here."

"I do that, and I only run a bar." Ianto shrugged and helped himself to his own drink. "I suppose we have to have some excitement that's not island inspired. Speaking of, are you going to put on another play?" he asked.

"I'm thinking July," says Geoffrey, after taking a long and definitely refreshing sip of his drink. "That seem like a good time to you? July? After my birthday and my anniversary."

"Definitely after," Ianto agreed. "Those are more important. ...You lost your seamstress though, didn't you?"

"We've lost a lot of people," says Geoffrey, and he doesn't mean to lower his voice when he says that, but it happens anyway. "Well, somehow we'll make it work. Somehow, we always do. Maybe it's time for Shakespeare in the Nude."

Ianto snorted and coughed around his sip of water. "I doubt anyone would complain," he said. "But if you need help, I can handle a needle and Jenny Humphrey's got fantastic style, honestly."

"Yeah?" says Geoffrey. "You wouldn't mind? I have some... very unusual needs sometimes. Especially if I do Dream this time around."

He couldn't figure what would qualify to Geoffrey as unusual, but Ianto couldn't imagine any requests more unusual than the things he'd already seen. Of course, those were mostly extraterrestrial, not sartorial.

"I'd be happy to help," he said. "And I'm sure I could manage."

"I hear you're the man with the ice." Lew's predictably leaning against the bar, flask in hand and at the ready. He doesn't normally do rocks, but it's hot, Dick's going to pretend to not be moping for the next several days, and ice is a treat.

"That's one of the things I've got," Ianto confirmed with a touch of a cocky smirk. "Do you want a glass too maybe?"

"You really are useful," Lew replies with a smirk in return, and then nods. "A glass would be great, yeah. Pretty nice set up you've got back there."
