Charlie had got the twins a corking pet, but now that it had learned where it was and all that, it had started to get a bit aggressive, flaring its spines and opening its mouth. Charlie learned two things quick. The iguana was more like a dragon than he'd assumed. Also, it was a quick bugger.
Just shy of seven feet long, tip of his snout to the tip of his tail, he was really a thing of beauty. He had to be old, judging by his size and the scars of claws and bites from territory wars.
"What is that and why is it in my kitchen?" the dark haired bird asked. He could see why she'd be upset, it was a bloody big animal and vicious looking. It had that long, powerful tail, long claws, and wicked sharp, if small, teeth. Charlie looked up at her and smiled. She was the other one who was preggers that was friends with Tonks.
"He's eatin'," he said, holding up a bowl of small strips of meat that was three minutes from being off. Vala made a face.
"I've got to serve dinner. You need to...eww...get rid of it," she told him.
"He's gotta get used to people, love, or he'll just keep lashing out. Got to know who's boss."
Vala didn't look impressed. She laid out the meal of sausages with rice and a thin gravy. Green salad, fruit salad, jello, and just a few warmed over leftovers in case anyone wanted something else were spread out on the counter. Charlie made the effort to appease her and at least took the lizard off to the far corner, half dragging it by the halter looped around behind its front legs. Now all he needed to do was make sure it kept to the meat and didn't decide to take a chunk out of one of the diners. Once he'd tied its leash securely he returned to her, washed his hands well, and helped lay out dinner. He cut the bread and then took the crumbley fruit thing out of the oven for her. She looked grateful but was in now way saying thank you to the lizard man.
Charlie and Vala in the kitchen. It's a giant lizard, it's a meal post, it's two-two-two posts in one. Tag one, the other, both, and each other, just let me know who you'd like. Email me or IM if you'd like the lizard to lash out. No serious injuries, but he is big and not truly tame]
