All things considered -- her near wedding to Rodney, for one, and the fact that John and Mayko had both witnessed her madness -- Jill was feeling relatively cheerful. The disaster had been averted with as little bloodshed as possible and she was determined not to let the clothes box and its endless supply of wedding dresses get her down. If Mayko and John saw fit to never ever bring up the things they'd seen during those few insane days, Jill thought she could live out the rest of her life without having to disown either of them.

Determined to have a good evening, she was headed for the ferris wheel with a book under one arm and a drink in her other hand. The fact that she wasn't carrying the entire bottle of wine out with her had to be a step in the right direction, she imagined, even if there were probably some people who would argue that. If it came down to it, she simply wouldn't tell them what she was drinking.

Those thoughts were dangerous and she knew it, but they weren't thoughts she wanted to address now. All she wanted was to sit in the sun with her book and her wine and forget she'd ever gone just a little bit crazy. When the time came to deal with her drinking, and she knew it would come eventually, she'd face it as she'd faced her problem with pills. But for the moment, all that mattered was that things had gone back to normal for at least a little while.

[Catch her on her way to the ferris wheel or already sitting in one of the cars. It's a good time for anyone who had to deal with her during opposite plot to see her again.]
