Sarah Jane owed Ianto Jones one hell of a wedding present for his allowing her to use the space of the Hub one more time. She had sneaking little suspicions that he might not allow her, but it had all gone off smoothly. She wasn't really serving any food because this was going to last for some time and she could see the lilting structures of served food in her head, which was quick to put her off of it.
It was once more time to donate hours to the Island and to get a decent day out of it. Sarah Jane couldn't help a mix of nostalgia and sadness with her excitement, recalling that this was the very thing that helped her to get closed to Charlie Crews as a friend. And now, he was gone. So many of them were.
All it did was solidify her resolve to make new ones, to explore new venues, and to have new adventures.
She had put together a list of bachelors and bachelorettes from the suggestions of their loved ones (or soon-to-be-resented-ones in some cases) and after a quick double-check of the list to remove disinterested parties, there was a plan and there was a silent auction to be had.
She'd made sure to at least make juice of various sorts. Just because she wasn't going to cater didn't mean that the general populace had to go thirsty, after all. All about the room were stands with names written on them and in some cases, the people being auctioned themselves lingered around, as if giving a preview of what someone might get.
She checked her watch and mouthed the seconds ticking by and by, just waiting to be told the word Go. It wasn't to be a noisy affair, not with people simply writing their bids on papers and submitting them, but mingling was bound to happen she supposed. "Thank you, all," she raised her voice, to get the attention of the room. "Thank you, for coming. Again, I'm so pleased to see everyone here and I hope you enjoy yourselves!" she added, voice a bit shaky with the adrenaline. She clapped her hands together and smiled broadly. "Well. Let's get bidding, shall we?"
