Draco woke up in his cozy bed, in the company of friends just across the room, and felt absolutely spectacular. Trance stared. That was Draco, unless he was one of the clones around. And he was helping out. Actually cooking. She moved closer, pressing a hand to his forehead. "Draco? Are you feeling okay?" Well, it wasn't like he was warm. Or at least not any warmer than average.

"Because usually by now you would have snapped me about touching you unless you really were feeling ill and then you'd still make a disagreeable remark, but you'd suffer through my pokings and proddings." It was a rather fair assessment of Draco's normal character, she thought.

"I would not!" he argued, terribly affronted that she would even think he could be so caustic. Then, realizing she was a nice person and probably wouldn't lie, he sheepishly asked, "Would I?"

"You would," Trance said firmly. "But I like you, so I can ignore your attitude. It reminds me of someone back home. I was never sure whether he liked me or not either. But I liked him and that was all that mattered."
