"Hi, Dr House!" Stephen greeted happily. He didn't want to bother the man; he was so busy with saving lives and all. But he couldn't be rude enough to just ignore someone's presence.
Stephen wouldn't make himself unwelcome, though. Just a quick hello and pass on through.
"Right now? No, not at all. I don't have any patients, so I'm just catching up on some correspondence." He realized that it often seemed like Stephen would like to talk to him, and it had really been very rude to rebuff and avoid him. Feeling apologetic, he added, "If you're not on your way anywhere, you're welcome to join me for some conversation."
"Oh, I wouldn't want to cause you any bother!" Stephen insisted, though he did walk closer. He just admired Dr House so much! "You're writing letters? I've always felt that was a practice that needs to return."
"Oh, it's no bother at all," House assured him. "Have a seat." He looked down at the letters and added, "Perhaps so, perhaps so. I simply wanted to be sure that I got my thoughts out now as opposed to waiting until I happen to see them."
Stephen wouldn't make himself unwelcome, though. Just a quick hello and pass on through.

"I'm fantastic! How are you? Very busy?" House seemed to be working on something important.
