Oh God, how was Kiki going to handle being a grandmother, especially without him around for support? It was a worrying thought for at least eight separate reasons that he could think of off the top of his head.

Maybe that was what happened. Getting trapped on Survivor island for a year was a lucky break for him, and the 'miracle' was that the baby hadn't come out with flippers. It made perfect sense. More sense than Tori finding a guy to marry and breed with in just a few short months, anyway.
