Anyone on the beach that afternoon would have seen something fairly unusual, even for the island of Tabula Rasa. Two giant birds, one a sweet and mellow yellow, the other a glistening black, milled around in the sand, pecking for bits of creatures buried there. On a rock nearby sat a young female ninja, arms and legs crossed.
The chocobos were not doing as they were told.
What had they been told to do?
One another, of course. Apparently when taken away from the Planet, chocobos lost some of their free-love attitude. You couldn't even get them to stop it if they smelled the Nuts. Heh. Nuts.
But now that she'd come to the conclusion that Cloud was a girl and Zack was a healthy boy, she just needed them to get on with it. Then there'd be a little egg to look after, assuming any of the populace here didn't try to fry it up. Despite her own penchant for eating anything that looked edible, Yuffie still scowled at the thought.
"C'mooooon," she wheedled the birds. "You're worse than frickin' Lee! Just get up on that, and... go! I don't know how to make it any clearer, guys."
Cloud only warked disinterestedly at her, and unearthed a tiny crab.
Yuffie let out an earth-rending sigh, and flopped over on her rock.
