His face brightened, as it tended to do in Guy's presence, and crouched down in front of Guy. It didn't take him long to smell the alcohol, though he didn't comment, just whipped off the orchid pinned to his lapel and handed it to Guy with a flourish.

Meanwhile, he had a flower in his hand. He looked to his shirt and realised he wasn't going to be able to coordinate the flower into any pinhole, not in his current state. So he placed it behind his ear instead, which was much easier.
