It didn't matter how many times Logan stopped by the box, he still seemed to be getting nothing but dresses. Not that he minded, really, but he felt almost obligated to try and find pants. As if that would make him more manly, despite the tits.

From black dress to red dress, Logan was still all leg as he made his way to the hub, curious to see if anyone else he knew had changed... And how many people he could fool into believing he was shiny and new.

Perching himself on a stool at the bar, he crossed his legs and rested on elbow on the counter. Flashing a smirk at anyone who paused long enough to look at him.

I'm perched on a stool in my frilly pink dress, smoking another cigarette and sipping at something the girl behind the bar served me, when a familiar face and even more familiar pair of legs slide up to the bar. There's that same, sudden aching tug in my chest and my eyes flicker away, tipping ash into a ceramic dish on the bar counter and my hair falling down over my eyes.

"Nice dress," I murmur, my own legs crossed primly, feeling weirdly exposed for the first time all day.

"Nice tits," Logan replied simply, flashing a smirk and turning a little in his seat.

Even with the sudden sex change and the time that had passed, he still knew it was Neil. He remembered the face and the body about as well as he remembered his own, and he laughed a little as he sipped his beer.

I look down at them like I'd forgotten they were there, and my dogtags are hanging between them, but there's nothing to tuck them into, so I don't bother. "Yeah, I guess they are," I say, smiling crookedly and leaning my elbows on the bar.

If Logan noticed the dog tags it didn't show at all, his expression the same as before as he finished his beer. Uncrossing his legs, he let them swing, eying the men and women who wandered by with obvious interest, clearly looking for trouble.

Or maybe just fun.

"Say you promised someone you wouldn't let anyone else fuck you... You think that still counts if you're suddenly a chick?" he asked after a moment, his attention focused on someone across the room.

Huffing out a laugh, I shake my head, giving him a sort of disbelievingly amused look. "Pretty sure it still counts. And I'm pretty fuckin' sure I'm not the one to ask."

"That's a damn shame. I need to start timing this stuff better," He sighed, clicking his tongue against the roof of his mouth and then turning to face Neil. "Let me guess, your other half's are off playing GI-Joe, right? Just like my favourite playmate. Go figure. We find other people to have a good time with, and somehow we end up sitting at a bar while they run around in training bras and wrestle one another. It's either fate or some sort of punishment."

"I dunno. Maybe it just means that, somewhere along the line, my type became your type," I say with a quick twist of my lips, letting just a little bit of nastiness slip into my voice, along with the playful smirk. "Besides, I had too good of a mornin' for this to be punishment."

"And here I was thinking you didn't like pussy," Logan replied, offering no mention of how good or bad his own morning had been. He felt no need to shove Jack in the other boy's face, nor did he find himself so bothered by the fact that Neil was apparently having his brains screwed out. It just didn't seem important anymore.

Life had simply moved on, and while what he had with Jack was hardly traditional, he found comfort in being loved by the other man and secure in the friends he was slowly making because of it.

"Must be fate then," he said after a pause, toying with the empty beer bottle.

"Depends on whose it is," I answer with an easy shrug. I didn't mind so much when he had one. Definitely not better, but different. We'd had a lot of fun, that weekend. "'sides, Tom got to keep his dick. Small mercies."

Knocking my heel against the rungs of my bar stool and huffing out a laugh around a mouthful of beer, I say, "Fate that we're sittin' at a bar, nine months out, and missin' our cocks?"

"I'm not missing mine too much yet," Logan shrugged. "And that's not what I meant really. Just it seems strange that the people in our lives are together, and we're here."

"I might fuck a soldier, but I'm sure as hell not gonna be one. Can't speak for you and Jack, but Mike and Tom have their shit, I have mine. They've been together, doin' that kinda shit, a lot longer than they've known me," I answer truthfully, and it's one of the things I love most about them. I've never known two people so devoted to each other, in so many different ways.

"Jack's not on their little team, though," I point out, lips twitching, "They got different XOs. You really wanna see 'em all together, wait for the game tomorrow."

"Game?" he asked.

Logan hadn't even known there was more than one XO, same way he had no idea there was a game tomorrow, and it left him wondering if he was just that inattentive, or if he was just- uninformed.

"Huh," he said quietly, his back straightening a little when he realized training was clearly over. Jack was there, right across the room flirting with- Bernice.

There was no envy, but the sight of Jack smiling at someone else while Logan sat and learned all about some game he hadn't even known was going on left him uncomfortable, and he slipped off his stool with a sigh.

"You know, I think I might start heading back to the Hamlet," he said after a moment. "Try not to break too many hearts," he quipped awkwardly, pushing his hair back and turning to leave.

"Yeah, sure," I murmur, watching his whole demeanor change like somebody flipped a fucking light switch. I follow his eye line to a man and woman talking across the room, flirting and standing close, and without even thinkin' about it, I've reached out and touched Logan's arm, face twisting up with a confused sorta worry, before I remember it's none of my fuckin' business anymore. "Hey, you okay?"

Glancing down at the fingers on his arm, he shook his head before slowly pulling away.

"I'm - I dunno what I am, actually, but I'm okay," Logan replied, folding his arms over his chest as if that would defend him or keep whatever he was feeling inside. It was a strange reaction. Usually he'd have marched over and dragged Jack away by his hair, demanding to know all about this game thing before taking him to bed and then leaving him to flirt with whoever struck his fancy.

But today? Today he just felt strangely fragile.

Breathing out a sigh, I finish my beer and then get to my feet, straightening my frilly skirt and tucking back my hair.

"I gotta head out that way, too. Think we can walk together, or you want me to give you a head start?" I say with a tiny smile.
