When the island goes into a deep freeze, Adam chances across an injured, unconscious Reese, face down in snow. Determining it more convenient to help, than to suffer through island politics, should she die, Adam takes her in and patches her up.
Her recovery takes the better part of two, quiet, uneventful days. Adam will be certain to call in the favor some day...and only one night's hospitality is free.
