Teal'c was far more patient that the rest of SG-1, but after three hours of the Tok'ra listing Ba'al's crimes he was ready to see the last of the Goa'uld System Lords receive his punishment. Also, he was worried about the threat Ba'al implied by mentioning a fail safe. He did not want to see the last of the false gods destroyed at the cost of the Tau'ri.
While the Tok'ra began the extraction process, Teal'c paced alongside the line of SGC personnel, keeping both eyes on Ba'al and listening to them talk with both ears. Daniel Jackson was still more vocal about Vala Mal Doran's disappearance than anyone else, but that did not surprise Teal'c.
"Seriously, did anybody see where Vala went?"
She had been standing next to Daniel Jackson and Teal'c had seen nothing, so he said nothing.
"Maybe extractions bring up too many bad memories."
Vala Mal Doran had once been host to a Goa'uld herself and Colonel Carter could well be right. But Teal'c was not interested in guesses. They served no useful purpose.
"Hey, have you ever tried to find a bathroom in a pyramid?"
Teal'c would never have said it out loud, but he had missed O'Neill's humor since his assignment in Washington, DC. He knew, despite his words, that O'Neill was just as worried about Vala's sudden disappearance as the rest of the team. However, she had only been gone a few minutes and there was not yet any cause for concern.
He turned to his former commanding officer. "She could not have gone far, O'Neill. There are..." He trailed off. A moment ago he had been standing in a Pyramid with many Tok'ra. Now he stood on a beach with buildings in the distance and no Chappa'i in sight.
Immediately, he drew his Zat'ni'ktel and frowned as he looked around. "O'Neill." O'Neill did not reply and although there was no obvious threat he could see, he did not relax his guard. "Vala Mal Doran," he called instead, wondering if he had somehow been taken to the same place as she. If so, this could well be a plot of Ba'al's.
He had no desire to stay out in the open, so he began jogging to the nearest building, hoping there would be someone there who could tell him what planet this was and how he could get home.
ooc: The first person Teal'c knows gets to try and explain the island to him. Everyone else gets to find him in the same place, probably none the wiser, but minus his backpack.
