At first, being something like half her usual height had seriously freaked Serena out. She was tiny and her clothes, when she'd woken up, hadn't fit, and everything was so much bigger and further away than usual. After a while, though, she'd calmed down. Somewhere along the way, she'd even begun to enjoy herself

"Dick!" Serena cried happily, stretching her arms toward him without missing a beat. The flip would have delighted her whatever her state, but it was more effective still when she was this size. "It's not princess, it's Serena." She didn't mind being called princess, but there was no point in not saying who she was, and as she did so, she was beaming. Once she'd got past the whole freaked out thing, she had to admit that this whole being tiny shtick had its high points. "Why are you a priest?"

Reflexively, Dick reaches to grab her before she comes down. Safety habit with any kid, but he's even gladder when she says who it is. "Whoops." He smiles a little sheepishly to draw any sting of being snatched from play. "Hope you don't mind. Can't let my girl fall. And I did promise you private lessons."

He glances down at his vestments, then shakes his head, laughing. "The clothing box and Tim have the same sense of humor."

At this size more than ever, the sense of being someone's girl, anyone's girl, was overwhelmingly comforting. It was the body, she thought, and not really just her, something about being small again, but it was there all the same. Her memories of this age were foggy for the most part, but some things stood out still, clearer than she'd like.

"I wasn't gonna fall," she said, but she was laughing, not minding at all. "You make a funny priest. Will you really teach me now? Will the dress get in the way?"

Even at this age, she's a charmer. Irresistible. He hugs her and smooths her hair before he sets her down. "Between you and me, princess, I make a terrible priest."

Flashing a grin, he sizes her up. The dress is a little risky, but as long as they keep it simple, it'll be okay. "We can start today. It'll be different when you're taller. But the ideas will be the same." He lifts an eyebrow. "You willing to learn the safe way?"

Serena giggled as he set her down. The idea of Dick as an actual priest seemed patently absurd. "I guess I am," she said, as if reluctant, but really, she was in no hurry to go and crack her head on the ground or something. She'd had to do plenty of things the slow, safe way in lessons, and it had usually turned out pretty fun anyway. "It's the - when I'm taller, it's my center of gravity changes, right? But the basics are the same?"

"Good. We'll have you flipping in no time." He lifts her again, but this time only to set her off the webbing of the tramp into the corner so she won't bounce off while he shows her. "Keep your fingers and toes out of the springs."

In case her balance isn't as good as he thinks it is, he keeps his bounce abbreviated. Lifts up, pulls his knees, then drops to his seat, hands beside his hips. Up past his feet, hips swiveling to pull his feet through and down again, same position, facing the other way. He comes up again, same half-twist, but lands on his feet.

"When you're taller, your center of gravity changes, yes. But also the ratio of strength to agility. Come and do what I just did, minus the twisting in the middle at first. The hardest thing at your size will be to catch yourself if you go sideways. Before you jump, find a spot straight ahead of you and keep your eyes on it. It'll keep your body straight."

Dick steps aside, but not off the tramp. He's not taking any chances with Serena.
