After the performance of Anything Goes, Mohinder finds Giles and spends some time with him. Alcuin, with whom he'd agreed to spend the evening, finds them and gets an awkward surprise in the form of one Mr. Rupert Giles. Uncharacteristically, he bolts.
When Mohinder remembers the story of Lucius and Giles and Alcuin, he puts two and two together, and after explaining delicately to Giles, goes after Alcuin. After unnecessary apologies on both sides and awkward confession, the two agree they'd rather think of more pleasant things or nothing at all.
