"...something borrowed, something blue," DG muttered. She leaned on the counter in the kitchen and chewed thoughtfully on a scavenged pen while gazing into the middle distance. Open before her was a wedding-planning guide the bookshelf had been kind enough to give her, and it still seemed inadequate.
When she'd helped plan her friend Bobbie's wedding the challenge had been straightforward: don't let Bobbie's mother know about it. For Glitch and Cain things were a bit more abstract, staring with how she'd felt compelled to go through the book and scratch out the word "bride" wherever it appeared. "Groom" and "other groom" would have to do. She'd only hesitated a moment before putting her own name on the "officiator" line.
By dint of time-warping DG was the highest-ranking OZ government representative on the island, so it fell to her to perform the ceremony. Exactly what the ceremony entailed was still a bit of a mystery, but it couldn't be that different from what she was used to. Probably. Hopefully.
"And something... something in someone's shoe," she concluded with a sigh. A coin, and she had some spare change from the diner so that was covered, she'd put a quarter in each of their shoes and deal with the funny looks later. Great, that just left the final guest list, the venue, the bachelor(s) party, a date for herself that Cain would not instantly kill, and she just had a couple weeks to pull it together. No problem, after all they'd saved the world in half that time, right?
[Decent time to meet her, st/lt fine as usual.]
