Sam was having a definite misunderstanding with the bookcase.
Yeah, okay, so, the truth was that he had been thinking a lot about marriage and family, but his father getting a woman pregnant had a lot to do with the latter and Jess turning up made him focus on the former. Still, that wasn't a very good reason for the bookshelves to start bestowing magazine upon magazine on him for dress designs.
"You do get that I'm not wearing a dress," he commented to the books, as if they would somehow become sentient and start spouting Latin back at him or something.
Still, he kept prying thick magazine after thick magazine into his arms and making a pile of them beside him, hoping that he'd eventually get to the bottom of the bin and discover something a little more rooted in what he actually wanted -- which was a book on Indian mythology and lore -- for his class the next week, wanting to get into shapeshifters just a little as some kind of callback to his time before the Island and the last thing he'd dealt with.
But no. Apparently it was 'Screw Sam Winchester Day' because he just got more dress catalogues. He stared at the fluffy, lacy design on the cover of Modern Bride Weekly and addressed the next row of magazines waiting for him.
"I really wouldn't pull this off," he said sarcastically.
