Had Snow not known better, she might have thought a war had been fought in the compound the day before. The entire place was a mess, and there were bodies everywhere. The primary difference, of course, was that these bodies were still very much alive. She had been somewhat hesitant to emerge from her cubicle in the dorm room that morning, but in ( Read more... )

Unlike the majority of the people on the island, Sirius hadn't gotten any, which, surprisingly enough, looked good on him. He wasn't moaning or groaning, even though his sleep had been none. Still, he staggered into the kitchen with a hefty yawn and scratched at the stubble on his chin. Coffee, he smelled coffee.

"Morning," he greeted as the yawn dissapited, and grabbed a mug and the caraffe of coffee.

Allison Cameron felt awful. Her body was aching, her head was pounding, and her thoughts felt disconnected.

She wandered into the kitchen for some breakfast, staying away from the bread, and selecting some fruit and coffee. Yesterday's craziness had to have been caused by the bread. It was the only thing that had been different in Cameron's normal breakfast meal routine. She found a place to sit and began to eat. She was feeling extremely melancholy. After breakfast, she was definitely going back to bed to sleep the day away.

She also had no desire to run into Chase or House right now.

Veronica rubbed the back of her neck, entering the kitchen from the Compound. "We had an orgy and no one invited me?" she joked. Whatever had happened here, she was glad she'd spent the last day in the jungle. Being around people? Bad idea. Bad. But a girl can only survive on picking mangos for so long.

The joke had been lost on Richard. He'd had a Bad Day yesterday, for a multitude of reasons, and just at the moment he could barely stand, his chest was a mass of bruises and strains, his face was black and blue, and he was seriously contemplating suicide.

"How 'bout you count yerself lucky and shut up?" he suggested.

"Whoa, boy," Veronica said, turning to take in the Very Large, Very Bruised, Pissed Off Man standing near her, her hands up in a universal gesture of peace. I have no weapons. Please don't hurt me. Tiny blondes squish easily. "I was only kidding. It looks like a tornado came through here."

Richard relaxed, slightly. "Not just here," he said, thinking of the hard use the walls and floor of the caves had been put through. "You didn't eat the bread?"

CJ entered the kitchen and made a beeline for the fruit and the coffee. She smiled weakly at the young woman who seemed to be in charge, but was otherwise quite intent on not making eye contact with anybody.

She stood in the kitchen trying to finish her coffee as quickly as possible so she could return the mug and leave.

Having seen the sort of thing going on in the compound, William had opted to sleep outside, and as such was both sore and still tired when he ventured back in.

The smell of food caught his attention and he headed for what seemed to be the kitchen, figuring he could look for Constable Fraser or this 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' who had posted the messages after he'd eaten.

"Good morning?" he ventured, stepping inside.
