Jake gave the second muffin he had taken from breakfast that morning a disinterested look. He wasn't hungry anymore... not exactly. He was starting to feel...strange...and was Dief licking Oy a little more than he normally did? Neither of them were paying much attention to him, so with a small shake of his head, Jake wandered inside the Compound to ( Read more... )

She caught Jake on his way inside, her hands immediately falling to his shoulders to direct him back the way he came from. "Come on," she hurriedly said. "You don't want to come in here, people are acting insane."

Jake blinked in surprise, but allowed himself to be directed back outside by Anna. "Huh? Wait, should I help?" he asked, though helping was about the last thing he wanted to do. ...And okay, where had that come from? Jake shook his head, wondering if he was going insane, too. Man Jesus it was hot out today...

"Here, breakfast. I can't eat it." He offered, holding out the muffin as they walked.

"Oh, thanks," she replied, accepting the muffin. "I didn't get a chance to eat much this morning." It had been so crowded, she'd immediately retreated to her room instead of going for seconds. She wasn't all that fond of chocolate, but she was hungry, so it would do.

"You okay?" she asked him with an arched brow as they continued along the path.

"Yeah... I'm fine..." Jake replied, distracted. He watched her mouth as she took a bite, small crumbs clinging to her lips, and-- "Um..." He had no idea what to say. All he could think about was the time he kissed her, how soft her mouth was, leagues softer than Dani's had been.

Aurora was still confused, eyeing the other people with great interest. Some of them were acting normal, and some weren't -- it was like someone had put a spell on only part of the island's population! Oh no, what if the Evil Witch was here?

She'd been on her way to have some breakfast when she noticed the strange behaviour of everyone. And as much as her stomach was grumbling, it was far more exciting to just observe

"Sir Jake!" she called out, relieved at seeing a familiar face, "Something very peculiar is happening!"

"Sai Aurora," Jake said, managing a smile despite the strange twist of his stomach. "What's happening? Are you all right?" he asked, trying to feel concerned.

"I am all right, thank you!" Aurora said with a bright smile, "It's just that I have never seen people act like -- this! What are they doing?"

She was really glad she had run into Jake. He was always so nice and friendly, she was sure he would be able to explain!

Aurora was standing awfully close, and she smelled so nice... Jake cleared his throat. "What exactly are they acting like?" he asked, as he hadn't seen many people that morning.

Bran is sprawled on the floor in a corner of one corridor, eyeing the remainder of his muffin speculatively. It's good. Just, maybe not quite good enough. For now.

Embarrassingly enough, a shower's starting to sound like a very good idea. Alone. Or, well, not.

Hey, where did that thought come from?

Jake almost freezes in the doorway as he ends up a room with Bran. He doesn't know why-- well, maybe he does. Maybe because Bran's strange looks aren't really strange at all, just...pretty...and Jake is realizing that a little more clearly than he did before. "Hey, Bran...." He says stupidly.

Bran looks up at him, pushing his sunglasses up on top of his hair--don't really need those indoors anyway. "Um. Hullo, Jake."

Awkward, this. A bloke ought not go walking around looking like that, it's...cruel, is what. He didn't look like that back on the beach, why is this fair?

Tentatively, feeling almost as if he were being pulled in, Jake walked into the room. "Are you hungry?" Jake asked, offering his extra muffin. He realized Bran already had one, or the sad remainders of one, and blushed.

Luna had come to terms with the funny feeling.

She'd decided, actually, to try and function with it. And it was with this intention that she let her hair down and began to wander, and happened upon Jake.

"Hullo, Jake."

"Hi..." Jake said, mouth forming into a shy smile. Lune had the prettiest blue eyes, wow, she was just... pretty. "Are you hungry?" he asked, offering his extra muffin. This was polite. This wasn't kissing her like he wanted to, and that was good. Probably.

"No thank you," said Luna politely, a smile curving her lips. Oh, so this...

"I want to play a game." She smiled dangerously. "Will you play? It's to get to know each other better and be friends."

Jake gazed at her, drawn in by her smile. He forgot about the muffin he was holding and almost dropped it. "A game? ..Okay, sai, what game would you like to play?"
