Seeking a Quiet Afternoon

Sep 08, 2008 18:02

Having not yet explored the full extent of the island, Betty wanders through the more veggitated areas alone, finding inner peace along the way.  Bruce might be able to meditate cross-legged, but her legs always fell asleep if she sat for too long.  She's not out for any particular reason; really it's just to clear her head, and maybe get her bearings.  She wasn't hiding from anyone. Or running. Or seeking anyone... for once.

Actually, she is happier than she'd been in a while. She and Bruce are making housing arrangements to live together. And he no longer transforms into a giant green man when his pulse shoots up -- thinking about that, Betty can't help but let out a pleased little giggle. Still better than any of that, he was being accepted.  Nothing was keeping them apart any longer.

Life was good.

With nothing much left to think on, she wished she'd bump into someone out here.  It was a little too quiet, and walks were always better with company.
