It was going on a week since she reappeared.
Jim had done basically all he could physically do to make sure he didn't bump into Pam, to the point he barely went to the Compound unless he had to. It was probably not the best way to deal with things, and certainly not a long term solution, but for that moment, it was working for him. That was really all that mattered.
It was all about denial, in the end. As much as he knew he had to start thinking about how he was going to deal with what was going on, he couldn't bring himself to do so. There was too much to consider, too much to worry about, and he didn't know how to handle it all - so he didn't. If it meant staying as far away from her as possible, so be it. That was what he was going to do for the time being.
He'd dropped Sam off to be babysat for a little while after getting her cleaned up and feeding her. He tended to himself afterwards, doing his daily stuff for the morning. He stopped in the kitchen once he was done, grabbing a muffin and finding a seat. It wasn't much food, but he hadn't had much of an appetite lately already, and he didn't want to hang out in the Compound long.
He kept an eye on the door, hoping no one wandered in that he knew. He had a feeling talking would just lead to a barrage of questions he didn't want to answer.
[OOC: Despite appearances, he very much could use some familiar faces. If you pup was close to Pam, feel free to assume he mentioned she reappeared.]
