People definitely liked their little get-togethers and parties around here, Robin was getting the feeling. Not that she was complaining because it was like being at MacLaren's with more catering (and good stuff, at that, as she ate a couple of things in her plate that she was definitely not asking about).

The only thing that would improve on everything though would be a beer. A pitcher of it. A glorious, beautiful, overflowing, amber, frothing pitcher of beer.

"You know," Ray commented as he came up on Robin's left, "I'm not a huge beer drinker or anything, but I could really go for a Sam Adams right about now."

"I swear to god, you are reading my mind," Robin assured him with a yearning look at all the bottles that weren't beer around them. "Though, for me, maybe a nice Canadian pale ale? Alexander Keith's, for sure."

"A pale ale would be good too," Ray agreed. "Although I think the only Canadian beer I've ever had was Molson's."

"Wow, you're missing out," Robin said sympathetically. "Like, a lot. I don't think they even exist anymore," she admitted. "I mean, now it's just Canadian. And Blue. And you know, a lot else." She knew her beers. Maybe too well, but she knew 'em. It was how she survived Vancouver some winters.

"Gosh, that's a shame," Ray said sincerely, thinking of all the beers he'd probably never get to try, at least if he stayed on the island. He silently promised that if he was ever sent back home, he'd make it his mission to try every Canadian beer ever made. "So, other than the lack of beer, how are things?" he asked.

"They're awesome, really!" she said, giggling nervously because she'd been in his hut and maybe nothing had happened (and she hadn't touched anything, just like she'd sworn she wouldn't), but she'd still gone in there and saw all his stuff. "Just, you know, hanging out." Another giggle came, but she cut that one off.

"Good!" he enthused, always glad to see friends happy. "Never a bad time for a party, right?"

"That is exactly what I think," Robin agreed, swishing her drink back and forth and peering into it. "Of course, my motto has more to do with the whole 'never a bad time for alcohol', but if a party comes out of it, the more the better, right?" she cheerfully agreed.

"Hello, Robin." Mohinder held out a glass of something alcoholic, he wasn't sure what. He hadn't seen her except in passing since the last time they talked, and it seemed like a good time to say hello. She liked parties, even if he generally didn't. "It's good to see you again."

Robin took the glass and lifted it up in salute with a mild grin. "Ditto, and you're already giving me booze," she appraised. "Niice, I definitely think you're on the short list for people who are going down in my good books."

Mohinder touched his glass to hers. "Cheers, then, to being in your good books." He gave her a cheeky sort of grin, pleased to be well-received and glad to have found someone to talk to who wouldn't ask painful questions about how he was. "Far better than being in your bad books."

"Trust me," Robin agreed with a nod. "Bad books means you get to be on the business end of a pistol," she said, almost dreamily and nostalgic at the same time. God she missed the firing range more than most people should.

"I've been there." Mohinder sipped his drink, wondering where a pretty, engaging woman like Robin had gotten an obsession with guns. "It's not all that much fun, so I'll definitely pass." Just as he would gladly pass on consciousness transfer. Ever. Again. "Did you survive the body-switching unscathed?"

"Me? I was fine," Robin agreed, breezily with a polite smile. "I woke up, went about my business, but a friend of mine sort of got caught up in the fray, so I was trying to keep an eye on him and the body, make sure nothing too weird happened."

"I'm glad to hear someone escaped unscathed," Mohinder said, a touch of something that wasn't exactly jealousy, more like wistfulness, in his tone. "I woke up in the body of an eleven year-old girl who'd climbed into bed with her guardian because she'd had a nightmare. He was not amused."
