Let it all out

Shawn was a man on a mission.

While the island had gotten the basics down - they all had plenty of food, water…dinosaurs - it glazed right over a few things that Shawn considered necessary for any self-respecting enchanted island located in the middle of nowhere.

The first item on that list? Sleestaks.

The second? Twister.

Conjuring up a species originally created by the brilliant, LSD laden minds of Sid and Marty Krofft was a bit out there, even for Shawn. But Twister? That he could do. Or he could give it a shot, at least.

With Dermot clinging to his back, he’d dragged all the necessary supplies to the rec room and got to work. Twenty-four dots, six of each color, four colors; he could do this without out getting distracted. Maybe. Possibly...

Three green dots painted on a white bed sheet later, though, and Shawn was up, rifling through reels, looking for something to watch while he worked. When he came across a familiar title that he never would have expected to find, he tried not to get his hopes too high; he couldn’t handle the disappointment.

He might have held his breath while he set up the projector and squealed excitedly at the sound of the first few notes of the theme music. Shawn mildly despised American Duos and Gus’s insane fascination with it back home, or he had, right up until Roland Orzabal and Michael Jackson got to share a stage again, for the the first time since 1987 and made sweet, sweet music together.

It was magical.

He watched; he cringed; he rolled his eyes at Nigel St. Nigel's crazy insults, at Lester Beacon's sun kissed glow...which was probably more spray-on than sun, actually. And he missed Gus.

[[NOT a canon puncture, so all your pup will see is the American Duos audition/final performance footage. Doesn't have to be Shawn's performances, though.]]
