Is Adventure Contagious?
With all the talk of the second island, Jonas couldn't help but think a lot about it. Peter was making a raft to try and go over there himself, the adults were over there investigating it and just about everyone else on the island was discussing it.
It certainly was strange that a second mass of land seemed to appear as randomly as it did. For Jonas, it was an exciting thing but also very dangerous. He was a smart boy and while the discovery of a new land was exciting, it was also very dangerous. No one knew what was going to be there.
Jonas had been sitting on a rather large rock, overlooking the beach. Underneath him, he had the rug that he made for Sara. It turned out great and he had to remember to thank Lisey for it.
He felt a little excitement rise inside as he looked out to the new land. Maybe Peter was right? Maybe it would be a great adventure?
